Introducing: Cucumbers & Green Beans!

What is a trellis? A trellis is a structure that helps support climbing plants. Last year, there was no need for a trellis as we did not have any climbing plants. I'm delighted to announce that this year, we are growing two varieties of climbing plants: cucumbers and green beans!

Alden helped us build the trellis for the cucumbers (A-frame structure in pictures above) and for the green beans (rectangular frame structure, shown below) today. Although the plants are just starting to grow, we look forward to seeing the wooden structures slowly transform into green walls.

Update: the cucumbers and green beans are loving their trellises! See photos below
