Garden Shed & Lights
We have two new additions to Newroz! Here we see an example of how innovation and DIY-culture are at work at the garden.
1) Student Jacob Emerick helped direct the building of a garden shed, where we are now able to store tools such as watering cans, rakes, gloves, and scissors.
2) We placed solar-powered lights along each row in the garden, which are able to provide light in the evening. They're also sustainable, because they receive their energy source directly from the sun!
We are excited about these new additions, and look forward to the new developments that will come in the future! An idea that has been in the works is a rain-water system to help water the plants. Make sure to come out to future work days if you want to take part in upcoming projects.
