Summer Farmer's Market

an update on the summer season as it draws to a close...

We have had the joy of distributing a wide variety of produce through our Monday and Wednesday farmer's markets. It was fantastic to see so many coming out to support the garden.

Just as with the previous processes of the garden, the markets could not have been possible without the hands that supported its growth.

We'd like to introduce Corinne Carpenter, administrative assistant of Newroz. Corinne has been storing the produce in her kitchen over at Nyland (her husband is RD), helping water the plants, planting herbs, and selling produce to our customers. Thank you Corinne and welcome to the team!

Thank you also to our first purchasers who have taken the initiative to further our vision: Kaye Cook, Barbara Welles Iler, Robyn Kefalas, Carl Kuczun, Natalie Forsythe, and Bruce Jacobson.

Farmer's markets will continue through mid-September; the only change is that the days have changed to Mondays and Thursdays (specific times are listed on our main page as well as our events page).

We encourage students, faculty, and community members alike to come and continue the vision of the garden. Come raise awareness for local produce and help cultivate a unique sense of community that comes with sharing food.
