Before and After Photos (+ thank you's)
a testament to the work that was done and completed at the end of rehabilitation.
(these photos will show the efforts we put to reinstall new fencing and lay new ground over the over-weeded plot, as well as establish new garden beds and a hose system.)
We are extremely proud to present to you the work that took place over the past two weeks at Newroz! Although at first glance, the change may seem diminutive, the work that went into ensuring its stability certainly was not. As it is recorded in the past several blog posts, it was a process that took multiple steps, with each step spanning over two to four workdays. In fact, the work required continual tenacity; some of us even came out with a battle scar.* At the end of the day, it was extremely rewarding to see the gradual restoration of the garden. We can say with full confidence that it was worth it.
Thank You to...
Our director, Grace Shelton, for getting together all the necessary details and planning continual work days and figuring out the budget so that we could get here and making each work day full of anticipation and making the garden a positive and inspiring place to be.
The garden advisor, Alden Drake, who was the leader to all of our actual building and showing us the manual steps to build this garden from the ground up.
Narah Kum for photography, videography, and web development
